How often do you mail? Can’t remember the count!
Now how do you feel when your mails go un-read?
What if I tell you that you could have a check on the one’s who do read your mails and one’s who don’t.
That’s true. I present to you Sidekick, a free service by Hubspot, which does exactly the same.
Here’s how it binds with Inbound Marketing.
It gives real-time alerts telling when, where and how prospects were engaged in opening their emails, visiting the website, liking the facebook fan page or engaged in any other activity.
Emails could be tracked in Hubspot, which is a paid service; but now hubspot comes up with a free service where you could track your emails directly by installing the plugin. I started using Sidekick recently and found it extremely useful.
Sidekick is not just for tracking emails, but it also lets you schedule your email.
Lets have a look at some of the features of Sidekick.
Once you have installed Google Chrome Extension, you need to give access to your Gmail account from Sidekick Dashboard.
You can also use Sidekick with :
Here are some benefits which shows that Sidkick should be a part of Inbound Marketing:
Instruction are on Sidekick Dashboard. Once you have configured your email, Sidekick will keep track of which emails are open and which are not.
Sidekick will also allow you to send test emails to the sidekick team for tracking.
It also lets you track if the links in the email are opened or not. If you don’t want to track the email, just uncheck.
Here is the screenshot from my sidekick app dashboard.
With the help of this option you can formulate follow-up communication.
Another awesome feature of Sidekick is Scheduling the email.
After signing-up with Sidekick and having installed Chrome Extension, click on compose email, and at the bottom you will have an option to schedule the email. For the 1st time, you’ll have to provide access to your gmail account for Hubspot. (Don’t worry it’s safe).
Sidekick provides you contact information about your prospects in your inbox and you can use these information while sending the next email.
What’s the purpose of this integration? If we integrate Hubspot account with Sidekick, we will get notified whenever our lead revisits our website.
In Inbound Marketing, it is very important to keep a track of our visitors/leads. What he/she is doing? What type of action is being taken? Whether buying interest is being displayed?
During Integration if you face any problem you can Talk to our HubSpot Expert. We are happy to help.
What you have to do to integrate :
1. From within your Sidekick settings, click HubSpot.
2. Just put you Hub ID and then click “Connect with Hubspot” Button.
3. After that you may be asked to login to your hubspot account, where you need to authorize yourself. Click on authorize and move on to the next step.
4. Set up your HubSpot visit notifications.
5. Now you’ll be able to see Hubspot Lead Revist notifications in the Sidekick Activity Stream.
Get real-time notification when your prospects interact with you through emails, websites or any other medium. So, I will recommend Sidekick by HubSpot to improve your inbound marketing stratetgy.
